Birthday card drives 38% of all orders
A small neighborhood florist built a base of 320 customers with birthdays on file — and sends them an automatic "bouquet of the day at −20%" push every month.
The challenge
Mary runs a florist in a residential neighborhood. Customers bought bouquets occasionally — mostly weddings, birthdays, holidays. There was no rhythm of "returning" orders.

A points card with an optional "birthday" field on first scan. Mary actively nudged customers to fill it in: "If you give us your birthday, you'll get a bouquet with 20% off on the day". 84% of customers filled it in.
